How the Crescent Head Pool Project Began
The owners had wanted a pool for years but did not know what style, layout, or features would suit their backyard. Coast Life Pools & Spas visited the property and walked them through design options, filtration systems, paving choices, and fencing requirements.
After discussing the recommendations and answering questions on site planning and pool operation, Coast Life Pools & Spas was awarded the contract.
Installing the 9m Heritage Fibreglass Pool
1. Excavation and Pool Placement
From the moment excavation began, the project progressed quickly. The fibreglass pool shell was installed within 10 days , including site preparation, levelling, and placement.
The property sits on a slope, so the excavation presented a natural challenge. Instead of removing the material, the team used all excavated soil to batter and stabilise the area around the pool , creating a cleaner, stronger layout without importing external fill.
2. Fencing Installation
After the pool was set in place, Coast Life Pools & Spas installed the required pool fencing.
- The client chose timber fence support posts , which they supplied.
- The team installed the posts and fencing system in two days .
- This provided a safe, compliant, and visually appealing boundary around the pool.
3. Addressing the Bio-cycle Septic System
This property did not have a standard sewer connection. Instead, it used a Bio-cycle underground septic system . Because of council rules, the pool’s filtration system could not be connected to this system.
To meet compliance, Coast Life Pools & Spas constructed an infiltration pit that aligned with the local council’s Development Control Plan (DCP). This ensured the site remained compliant while supporting proper pool operation.
4. Coping and Surround Paving
Once the concrete beam and pool surround had cured, the team installed:
- Coping pavers
- Surround paving
This stage took five days and helped tie the entire pool area together, creating a clean, modern, usable outdoor space.
Final Result
The completed pool has given the Crescent Head owners the backyard they had always imagined. The Bora Bora colour provides a bright, resort-style finish, and the fencing and paving create a tidy, structured layout that works well with the sloping block.
The project blends reliable installation, problem-solving around the septic system, and high-quality finishing work across fencing and paving — all delivered within an efficient timeline.
